Boarding Policies & Terms

• Board payment - Monthly board is due on the 1st of each month. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of $25 per week. 
• Minimum Commitment – We ask boarders to commit to a minimum of 3 months when beginning boarding at Sunflower Hill. This helps us provide consistent care, maintain stable turnout groups, and plan for the needs of every horse. 
• Notice to Leave – A 30-day written notice is required if you plan to end your boarding agreement. 
• Deposits – Any required deposit will be applied to your final month of board with proper notice.

• Horses must be current on vaccinations and deworming before arrival.
• Owners provide supplements/medications; we will administer as directed.
• Owners are responsible for vet and farrier care (with assistance from us if needed).
• In emergencies, we will contact the owner and, if unreachable, reserve the right to call a vet.

• Keep tack/feed rooms tidy, label personal items.
• Use designated trailer parking only.
• Guests are welcome but must be supervised. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Helmets are strongly recommended for all riders.
• Close gates and respect fencing at all times.
• All boarders must sign a liability waiver acknowledging equine risks and to meet our insurance standard.

• No smoking or alcohol in the barn or around horses.
• Access is welcome between 7am-7pm unless otherwise arranged.
• Respect for other boarders, our family, and animals is expected at all times.
